The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has announced sports betting technology provider Metric Gaming as its latest member.

The London-headquartered company joins nearly 50 companies and over 125 sports betting brands within the association.

Dan Banham, Chief Operations Officer at Metric Gaming, said: “Metric Gaming is proud to partner with the IBIA in line with our unwavering commitment to ensuring the integrity of sports and the safety of betting customers.”

Metric has supplier and vendor licences across Britain and Malta, as well as various US states.

Banham added: “By joining the association, alongside other business leaders we look forward to contributing to the important work the IBIA do, a mission we see as essential to safeguard the continued growth of our industry.”

The IBIA recently released its Q2 integrity report, which detailed that the number of suspicious bets in the second quarter of 2023 fell significantly on the corresponding time period in 2022.

A total of 50 alerts were reported to relevant sporting authorities by the IBIA, down 44% from 88 in Q2 2022, with football once again the sport which generated the most alerts at 19, accounting for 38% of all reports.

On its newest member, Khalid Ali, IBIA CEO, explained: “The association welcomes Metric Gaming to our expanding roster of B2C and B2B members. The company’s array of licences and operational capacity will further strengthen our world leading integrity monitoring network. Metric Gaming’s decision to join IBIA demonstrates its clear desire to utilise the best integrity protection available globally for its sports betting product.”
